The Magistrate Novus Guard were an elite sub-unit of Magistrate Guard composed entirely of Homo Novus, humans who exhibited a myriad of extra-normal abilities. They served as the personal assassins and enforcers of the current Federation Magistrate, Jean Regendorf VII.

The garb of the Magistrate Novus Guard was identical to the Magistrate Guard but the color scheme of their uniforms was inverted. It consisted of gray gauntlets and boots, and a form-fitting white uniform. The Magistrate Guard additionally wore white half masks and a somewhat ornamental white tricorn hat that were able to deploy a drop down visor. Their visors provided a Head-ups display and regularly served as their form of communicator. The Magistrate Novus Guard's jackets and white tricorn hats were adorned with the Magistrate's personal heraldry. As of GC 121, their jackets and white tricorn hats were emblazoned with Jean Regendorf VII's golden eye heraldry. Commanding Officers were often known to wear capes, possibly as a means to signify rank.
