Some of you may have noticed the sudden change in the Gundam Fanon Wiki's appearance. Essentially, Wikia pulled the proverbial carpet out from under us and rolled out the new header and page design for all wikis. Given that the default options the system generated to stand in was terrible, a quick replacement has been whipped up of the wordmark.

Additionally, the background has been replaced for the sake of change, and we've started to make use of the new headers. Hopefully that should be the only major changes and the layout should be viewable for anyone who visits the wiki, however, we all know that Wikia is prone to bugs following updates.

If you do notice anything off, please mention it to a staff member.

The Great Mobile Suit Vote of 2014

The plan is to hold a vote tournament to find a favourite mobile suit of the GFW. Every user can nominate 1 of the 1,141 mobile suits on the wiki, but there's a twist: the machine must have been created by another user!
This means any page where you are listed as a writer, you can't nominate it (spellchecking or code cleanup on someone else's page does not make you a creator).
Pages in Namespace or Parody Articles are not valid choices.

Once all participants have nominated a machine, there will be several rounds of voting to eliminate entries until only remains, which will become the first "GFW's Favourite Mobile Suit"

With so many people developing their own tech I felt it would be interesting to have a small debate about all the different systems in the gundam metaverse and how they would react with one-another. Hopefully we might be able to get a clearer idea of how machines from different eras would perform against each other. Once we establish that, fan-made tech can be brought into the mix as well.

There are two rules to the debate:

Only canon sources can be used (until fan-tech get introduced, obviously)

Thinking outside the box is encouraged, this doesn't mean we can make up what we don't know. But some technologies are only used in very specific applications and could have many more potential uses.
